Luxury spas were typically reserved for the wealthy, housewives, and annual girl’s trip. But times are changing and spas are now a key component to your overall health. Not only is it a place to receive mineral rich treatments, such as massages, facials, or body wraps, but the treatments deliver a vast variety of therapeutic benefits. The most obvious as stress reliever, anti-aging, skin radiance and helps to enhance sleep. Many also offer medicinal baths and stand behind their belief of the curative power of mineral waters. This concept goes back to prehistoric times and is very popular in Europe and Japan today.

Most importantly, spa treatments leave you feeling recharged, relaxed, and rejuvenated. And a spa day allows your body to de-stress over the course of the day. We all know how stress can wreak havoc on our body and cause illness, so finding ways to manage stress levels are key.
A luxury spa day should do more than just pamper you and your body. It should indulge all your senses and restore your well-being. It should be nestled in a well-manicured, calm, serene, setting where you feel your body relax as you drive onto the property grounds. The breathtaking facilities should make it hard to leave. The tranquil pool and hot tub should relax your muscles. The café should provide nutrient rich foods to your body. And the service will ensure you feel pampered. And of course, a treatment that leaves you yearning for more. A spa day should be just that – a full day at the spa to feed your mind, body, and soul. This is no longer reserved for only a few, but necessary for all, couples included.
Florida is full of impressive resorts, but my favorite is the Ritz-Carlton Spa in Orlando, Grande Lakes.
